Samir S Shah, MD, MSCE, SFHM has been appointed to be the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hospital Medicine, effective January 1, 2019.

Dr. Shah is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and is the Director of the Division of Hospital Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where he also holds the James M. Ewell Endowed Chair. His background and experience in the academic space, coupled with his additional training in clinical epidemiology, equip Dr. Shah with a broad and critical skillset to bring a unique perspective to the Editor-in-Chief role.
